Job summary

Audible is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead the Android team and shape cross-functional delivery across Audible and Amazon. You will own end-to-end delivery, partner with product and engineering peers, and raise performance and quality in a fast-paced agile setting.

You will work with a high-caliber team, coaching engineers to scale their skills and contribute to the broader apps space while delivering outstanding experiences to millions of listeners daily.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience with full software lifecycle practices.
• Experience partnering with product or program management.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead full life cycle delivery of cross functional projects spanning teams across Audible and Amazon.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch software.
• Strive to raise the bar on delivery performance and quality in a fast agile environment.
• Coach engineers to scale abilities and drive development and operations excellence in Android and apps space.
