Icon Media Direct is seeking a Director, Analytics Product Strategy & Growth to join our Data Intelligence team, reporting to the SVP of Data Intelligence. Our TV and cross-channel measurement products are built and proven, and are rolling out across our own client portfolio.
The Director's primary mandate is to take them from internal rollout to a scaled, commercially successful offering, owning the enhancement roadmap, the go-to-market motion, and the adoption plan in close partnership with the SVP. This is an early commercialization role: the product exists and works, and the commercial motion around it is still being built.
The Director partners with Client Services to drive rollout and adoption across client teams, and serves as the senior analytics and measurement partner for a defined set of strategic accounts and for our digital and advanced media teams, using that exposure to identify what to improve next, sharpen positioning, and remove the barriers that slow adoption. In the near term the role additionally owns the analytics request process that serves Client Services and media; standing up a scalable delivery model, and the team behind it, is part of the role's growth path.
The ideal candidate combines product leadership with genuine analytics and measurement fluency, someone who has taken a product from early rollout to broad adoption, not only launched new ones, and who can build a go-to-market motion, run an enhancement roadmap, evaluate analytical outputs and methodologies, and communicate a compelling value proposition to clients and executives. The role leads through influence as an individual contributor initially, with the opportunity to build a team as the portfolio and commercial opportunity scale.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with the SVP of Data Intelligence to define the multi-year strategy for Icon's measurement product portfolio, where the products go next, which capabilities differentiate us, and where to invest.
- Own the enhancement roadmap for products in active client rollout, balancing client-driven improvements, competitive gaps, and platform scalability.
- Recommend portfolio priorities and make day-to-day product trade-offs within the strategic direction and investment priorities established with the SVP.
- Develop business cases for major product enhancements and new investments.
- Identify growth opportunities across analytics and AI solutions, including new markets, verticals, and client segments.
- Own the product lifecycle for products in active rollout: requirements, PRDs and feature specifications, backlog, release planning, testing, deployment, and post-launch review.
- Lead ongoing discovery with clients, Client Services, Media, and Analytics to determine which improvements matter most and why.
- Distinguish scalable, repeatable needs from one-time client requests, keeping the roadmap from becoming a queue of custom work.
- Validate enhancements through client interviews, workflow analysis, prototypes, and pilots before committing significant development resources.
- Define target users, priority use cases, and measurable value for each release, and confirm after launch whether that value was delivered.
Go-to-Market & Commercialization
- Establish the go-to-market motion for the measurement portfolio: target segments, positioning, differentiation, and the client value proposition, taking the products from internal rollout to a repeatable commercial offering.
- Build the proof points that make the value concrete — case studies, benchmark results, and reference stories drawn from live client rollouts.
- Partner with leadership on packaging and pricing models as the products move from internal rollout to a commercial offering.
- Build launch plans for new capabilities, covering internal readiness, client communication, and rollout sequencing.
- Create demo environments, sales enablement materials, and case studies that make the products easy for client teams to present.
- Serve as the analytics and measurement subject matter expert in new business pitches, and support client-facing product presentations and renewal conversations.
- Identify monetization opportunities for existing capabilities.
Client Adoption & Media Partnership
- Partner with Client Services to drive rollout and adoption, account targeting, sequencing, onboarding, and the adoption plan for each client team.
- Diagnose adoption barriers and resolve them through product improvements, enablement, or sharper positioning rather than one-off workarounds.
- Serve as the senior analytics and measurement partner for a defined set of strategic accounts and for executive-level client discussions.
- Lead the analytics narrative for quarterly business reviews and annual planning on those accounts.
- Partner with the digital and advanced media teams on measurement design and cross-channel performance across linear TV, CTV, streaming, programmatic, paid search, and paid social, advising on attribution, incrementality, geo-lift and holdout testing, test readiness, and statistical validity.
- Own the analytics request process from intake, to prioritization, and delivery against established SLAs, and build toward a scalable delivery model as the function grows.
- Develop reusable frameworks, templates, and enablement materials that reduce dependence on custom analysis, and upskill Client Services and media teams in data literacy and self-service.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and industry trends for applicability to the measurement portfolio.
- Identify opportunities to automate analytics workflows and reduce manual effort across delivery.
- Build business cases for AI-powered product capabilities, and lead pilots and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Partner with Data Intelligence and Engineering to operationalize AI capabilities into the products.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the connector across Data Intelligence, Data Engineering, Technology, Client Services, Media teams, and Executive Leadership.
- Act as the "voice of the client" with the central data science and engineering teams, translating non-technical business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Partner with Data Operations and Business Operations to establish product governance and maintain visibility into milestones, dependencies, risks, resource needs, and adoption metrics.
- Align priorities and manage stakeholder expectations, escalating major scope, investment, and resource decisions to the SVP of Data Intelligence.
- Responsible for any additional tasks or responsibilities that may arise in support of the role's objectives.
Education/Qualifications/Experience:
Required
- 8+ years of experience across product management and analytics leadership, including ownership of product strategy and roadmap.
- Demonstrated experience taking a product from early rollout to broad adoption: improving it, expanding usage, and building the commercial motion behind it, not only launching new products.
- Experience defining and executing go-to-market strategy, positioning, and enablement for a client-facing or B2B product, ideally at an early commercialization stage.
- Experience building analytics, SaaS, MarTech, or AdTech solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL with a strong understanding of relational data models.
- Working understanding of statistical measurement concepts (hypothesis testing, significance, and experimental design) sufficient to evaluate methodology and analytical outputs.
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills, including at the executive level.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across technical and business teams.
- Ability to translate business needs into product and technical requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or other quantitative fields.
Preferred
- Media measurement and attribution experience across linear TV, CTV, and digital.
- Familiarity with MMM, MTA, incrementality and lift testing, and audience analytics.
Other Considerations:
- Salary based on skills and experience
- Skills will be tested upon interview
- All applicants are subject to background checks and offers of employment will be pending the verification of information listed on application
- All applicants will need to provide a list of professional references
