  • Assures adequate human resources are provided, retained and utilized in an efficient manner.
  • Plans budgets and manages the department to accomplish operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Leads and directs managers and staff to achieve divisional objectives and quality patient care.
  • Coordinates and directs clinical activities with focus on efficiency, safety and patient outcomes.
  • Develops and updates medical management and PI programs to improve revenue accuracy and care delivery.
  • Ensures compliance with state, federal, and JCAHO standards and hospital policies.

Job description

Located in the heart of the Coachella Valley, you have access to resort-style living and world-class amenities throughout Southern California.

  • Assures that adequate human resources are provided, retained and utilized in an efficient manner to maintain objectives of organization.
  • Prepares annual budget with CAO for area(s) of responsibility and controls operational activities towards accomplishment of divisional efficiency.
  • Practices hospital-wide scripts and ensures scripting is being utilized in areas of responsibility.
  • Assures all State and Federal laws are in compliance in areas of responsibility. Assures all JCAHO standards are followed in areas of responsibility.
  • Develops and utilizes mechanisms for directing, evaluating and controlling clinical activities and costs towards accomplishment of divisional effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Rounds in procedural area as position requires.
  • Responds to all patient complaints in a timely fashion with follow-up to resolution. Maintains files on these interactions with cumulative data.
  • Analyzes and interprets data complex data sets and reports, i.e., variance analysis, financial/quality, population specific reports.
  • Develops and updates comprehensive medical management work plans/programs to ensure revenue accuracy.
  • Ensures optimal care delivery via direct observation, concurrent documentation audits and subsequent unit based P.I. initiatives.
  • Coordinates and plans weekly or monthly team meetings as appropriate.
  • Determines qualifications, competence levels and standards of performance.
  • Strategy development with senior staff regarding program expansion, business development and new care models.
  • Focuses on quality improvement, utilization, and reductions of medical costs.
  • Provides leadership to staff, giving direction and guidance to managers and staff as appropriate.
  • Plans budgets organizes and manages the department to accomplish operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures the delivery of quality patient care through the nursing process
  • Facilitates teamwork and effective flow of ideas
  • Implements, integrates, and maintains Performance Improvement Program
  • Provides for professional growth and development of staff
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Applies management theory and leadership styles as appropriate to situation
  • Controls expenditures to within division-wide budgeted amounts
