Job Overview

Responsible for overseeing scheduling and capacity management of ambulatory healthcare services at Henry Ford Health. Manage appointment processes, monitor demand, collaborate across departments, develop strategies, and implement solutions to ensure safe, convenient, and appropriate patient access.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement appointment scheduling processes to ensure timely access.
  2. Monitor demand and capacity; develop strategies to meet patient needs.
  3. Create policies to optimize appointment slots and reduce no-shows.
  4. Collaborate with clinical operations, finance, IT, and other departments for seamless workflow.
  5. Establish and monitor KPIs for access and capacity; implement improvement strategies.
  6. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  7. Utilize data visualization tools, Six Sigma, Arena software, MS Project, and other tools for process improvement.
  8. Manage the budget for appointment access and demand capacity.
  9. Lead process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  10. Provide leadership for the adoption of new access technologies and workflows.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and participate in professional development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare services management or related roles.
  • At least 6 months experience with Tableau, data visualization, Six Sigma, KPIs, budgeting, process improvement, Arena software, MS Project, and cross-functional team support.
