Job Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the scheduling and capacity management of all ambulatory healthcare services across Henry Ford Health. Manage appointment scheduling processes, monitor demand for services, and ensure the organization can meet patient needs. Collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple departments to understand access supply and demand, measure performance, develop strategies, and implement capacity solutions to ensure safe, convenient, and appropriate patient access.

Develop and implement appointment scheduling policies to ensure timely access, monitor demand and capacity, and strategize to maintain adequate capacity. Optimize the use of appointment slots, minimize no-shows, and ensure seamless operations by collaborating with clinical operations, finance, and IT. Establish and monitor KPIs related to appointment access and demand capacity, and implement improvement strategies.

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning appointment scheduling. Utilize knowledge of Tableau, data visualization, Six Sigma, KPIs, budgeting, process improvement, Arena software, MS Project, and workflow support to perform duties. Manage the appointment access and demand capacity budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Provide leadership to stakeholders for successful implementation of new access technologies, workflows, and processes. Stay updated on industry trends, attend conferences, and engage in professional development activities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (equivalent foreign degree accepted).
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role or related occupations, with experience in using Tableau, data visualization, Six Sigma, KPIs, budgeting, process improvements, Arena software, MS Project, and cross-functional team support for at least 6 months.
