The role oversees a Manager of Inventory Management and a team of Analysts, develops strategies with cross-functional partners, and mentors staff while guiding onboarding and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in Merchandise Allocation and Replenishment.
• Strong analytical and decision making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with spreadsheet, word processing, and email software functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Allocation and Replenishment Inventory Analysts and a Manager of Inventory Management.
• Oversee and coordinate the flow of Inventory through the distribution centers.
• Provide analysis to identify opportunities and improve the flow of merchandise to stores.
• Partner with category merchants and directors to develop seasonal allocation and event planning strategies.
• Oversee Relex sales and receipt forecast projections while maintaining store and DC in-stock and service level goals.
• Maintain balanced inventory levels in all DC and retail locations while improving flow through each location.
• Work with the field to respond to merchandise concerns and collaborate with Store Support Center teams.
• Provide strategic direction, identify best practices, and solve issues for allocation system (JDA) and replenishment system (Relex).

Job Title: Director, Allocation & Replenishment

Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - The Director, Allocation & Replenishment will hold a key leadership role in the strategic direction and day to day management of the timely flow of merchandise through the distribution network and stores for their assigned area. In addition to helping develop plans and strategies to maximize the sales and inventory turn, the director will have direct responsibility over a Manager of Inventory Management and a team of Replenishment and Allocation Inventory Analysts. The Director will train, develop, and mentor team members as necessary and supervise the on boarding process for all new hires to the Inventory Management department. As a primary component in the success of the Merchandising division, the Director, Allocation & Replenishment will be participating in many cross functional teams to further develop the strategic initiatives of the organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance

• Lead and develop a team of Allocation and Replenishment Inventory Analysts and a Manager of Inventory Management
• Oversee and coordinate the flow of Inventory through the distribution centers
• Provide analysis to identify business opportunities and solutions to improve the flow of merchandise to stores
• Partner with category merchants and directors to develop seasonal allocation and event planning strategies
• Oversee Relex sales and receipt forecast projections while maintaining store and DC in-stock and service level goals
• Maintain balanced inventory levels in all DC and retail locations while improving flow through each location
• Work with the field to respond to merchandise concerns and work with the appropriate Store Support Center associate/department to address issues
• Provide strategic direction, identify best practices, and problem solve issues for allocation system(JDA) and replenishment system (Relex) systems

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in Merchandise Allocation and Replenishment
• Strong analytical and decision making skills
• Demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting multiple goals and deadlines
• Ability to work cooperatively and contribute to a high performing team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience and competency with spreadsheet, word processing, and email software functionality
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with JDA retail allocation and Relex replenishment software
• Leadership/Supervisory experience
• Other significant retail or operations experience

Pay Range: $158k-$182k based on experience + 25% bonus target + equity. Relocation assistance provided. Our success is a team effort — when we reach our goals, you’ll be eligible for a yearly bonus!
