DBLU seeks a Director of AI Transformation Consulting to build and lead our AI transformation practice, guiding executive discovery and shaping how clients capture business value from AI. You’ll define ontologies, identify high ROI opportunities and turn insights into credible recommendations for senior leadership.
The role combines strategy, governance, and delivery, with potential equity participation and growth into a larger consulting organization as the practice scales.
Help companies figure out what they should actually do with AI, then help them make it happen.
DBLU is seeking an exceptional Director of AI Transformation Consulting to help build and lead our consulting practice.
Most companies do not suffer from a shortage of AI tools. They struggle to determine where AI will create meaningful business value, how it should fit into the way their organization actually operates, and what controls need to exist before AI is given authority to act.
DBLU helps answer those questions. Our consulting-led approach begins by understanding the business before recommending technology. We work with executives and operating teams to uncover how work actually happens: objectives, workflows, systems, roles, terminology, information, policies, decision points, handoffs, constraints and governance requirements.
We then turn that understanding into a structured, human-reviewed model of the organization and use it to identify, prioritize and design AI opportunities that can create measurable business results.
The ideal candidate combines management consulting discipline, business operating knowledge, executive presence and commercial instincts. Strong backgrounds could include strategy consulting, digital transformation, business-process consulting, technology strategy, AI transformation, or internal corporate strategy/transformation.
Ideal candidates will have approximately 7–15+ years of relevant experience, experience leading client engagements, strong structured problem-solving and executive communication, strong discovery/interview skills, process and operating-model fluency, business-case/ROI analysis, ability to present recommendations to senior leaders, and commercial experience selling or expanding consulting engagements.
Experience with AI, automation, governance, knowledge graphs, process mining or enterprise architecture is valuable but not mandatory.
We intend to offer competitive early-stage cash compensation, performance-based compensation tied to consulting revenue and growth, meaningful equity participation, direct access to DBLU leadership, and the opportunity to build and eventually lead a larger consulting organization.
This is an employee position, reflecting the central role this person will play in DBLU’s ongoing operations and intellectual property.
Our philosophy is simple: Business before AI. Understanding before automation. Authority before action.
