Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Director, AI Program Management, OS, System & Data, to lead governance, program delivery, and value realization across a multi-workstream AI portfolio. You will establish stage-gate standards, run cross-functional councils, and manage cadence for executive reporting.

The role requires 8+ years in enterprise governance, strong senior-stakeholder collaboration, and a track record of delivering complex initiatives at scale. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in program governance or PMO leadership at enterprise scale.
• Experience setting stage-gate criteria and governance frameworks adopted across multiple programs.
• Experience running cross-functional councils with legal, HR, Finance and technical stakeholders.
• Track record building recurring reviews, reporting cycles, and executive filings for large portfolios.
• Experience diagnosing at-risk programs and driving path-to-green recovery; know when to escalate.

Responsibilities

• Own AI governance standards, stage-gate criteria, delivery expectations, value realization requirements, and coaching that drive progress and consistency in the portfolio.
• Run the Agentic AI Business and Technology Councils, aligning across functions on cross-cutting decisions.
• Own the operating rhythm for the AI Portfolio—forums, owners, review calendar, CEO/Board/ELT filings.
• Oversee execution of Enterprise and Functional AI Bets to ensure programs achieve outcomes.
• Manage cross-bet dependencies and remove delivery barriers; step in when blockers exceed one bet owner’s capacity.
• Maintain recovery plans when performance or adoption targets are at risk and ensure value is validated.
• Co-own Finance validation standards with the Finance DRI to push back on value that doesn’t hold up.
• Drive corrective action when value or delivery commitments aren’t met, escalating when needed.
