Job description

Director, AI Product & MarTech Enablement

The Director, AI Product & MarTech Enablement, leads this pillar. You will own two connected mandates: bringing AI into marketing — the use cases, decisioning, and orchestration that make campaigns smarter and faster — and driving MarTech enablement, so the organization gets maximum value from every platform it runs. You'll turn emerging AI from experiment into production-grade product, and you'll make the MarTech stack easier to adopt, better supported, and demonstrably more valuable. You'll operate in a highly matrixed environment as the alignment hub across the Enterprise Data Office, Analytics, Technology, Privacy, and Legal.

What You'll Do
  • SET THE AI PRODUCT VISION AND ROADMAP
    • Define and articulate a clear vision and roadmap for AI in marketing — the use cases, decisioning, and orchestration capabilities that turn marketing into an intelligent, always-on engine.
    • Champion the adoption and integration of AI across the marketing organization to create measurable business value.
    • Prioritize the AI use-case pipeline with senior leadership — securing resources, setting priorities, and measuring performance against clear objectives.
    • Serve as the subject‑matter expert on applied AI for marketing — GenAI, agentic workflows, decisioning, and orchestration — and guide the exploration of novel approaches to complex challenges.
  • DELIVER AI PRODUCTS FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION
    • Lead the design, build, and deployment of AI products and tools — from proof-of-concept through production — meeting quality, scope, and timeline expectations.
    • Oversee prompt engineering, AI tooling, and experience‑intelligence capabilities that put AI directly into marketers’ hands.
    • Operationalize AI decisioning and orchestration across the MarTech stack, partnering with data and platform teams so models and agents are production‑ready and integrated.
    • Embed responsible AI practices — transparency, fairness, and compliance with data‑protection and enterprise standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • DRIVE MARTECH ENABLEMENT, ADOPTION, AND VALUE REALIZATION
    • Own operational support of the MarTech tools and platforms — keeping the stack running smoothly and marketers unblocked.
    • Establish and share best practices, playbooks, and standards that raise the bar on how the organization uses its MarTech investments.
    • Drive innovation with MarTech tools — continuously surfacing new ways to generate value for the business.
    • Lead the adoption and value‑realization agenda — measurably increasing platform adoption and ensuring every MarTech investment delivers a clear return.
  • SUPPORT DISCIPLINED AGILE DELIVERY
    • Partner closely with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and Scrum Masters to ensure Program Increment (PI) planning is executed on cadence and commitments are met.
    • Translate roadmap priorities into well‑formed epics, features, and backlogs — keeping delivery aligned to business value and dependencies managed across teams.
    • Instill agile ways of working — transparency, iteration, and continuous improvement — across the AI and enablement teams.
  • BUILD AND LEAD THE TEAM
    • Mentor, and develop a high‑performing team spanning AI product, prompt engineering, AI business analysis, and MarTech enablement.
    • Set clear goals, coach for growth, and cultivate a collaborative, innovative, data‑driven culture that values continuous learning.
    • Manage a blend of employees and contract specialists and oversee vendor and partner relationships — optimizing tool and API integrations and holding partners to quality, timeline, and value standards.
  • ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS AND COMMUNICATE IMPACT
    • Translate complex AI and technical concepts into clear business language for senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
    • Provide regular status updates, adoption metrics, and ROI analyses that make the value of AI and MarTech investments visible.
    • Operate as a trusted partner across Marketing, Analytics, Technology, and the broader enterprise, aligning work to shared priorities.
    • Align to enterprise standards by partnering with the Enterprise Data & AI Office to keep responsible AI/ethical practices consistent with enterprise policies and frameworks.
What You Bring
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in MarTech / marketing technology product management, AI-ML enablement, or digital marketing platforms, including team leadership.
  • Proven track record putting AI or automation into production in a business setting — from use‑case identification through deployment and adoption.
  • Deep, hands‑on knowledge of the modern MarTech stack (e.g., Adobe Experience Platform, Marketo, SFMC, CDP) and how to drive operational support, adoption, and value realization.
  • Practical fluency with applied AI for marketing — GenAI, prompt engineering, agentic/automation frameworks, and AI-driven decisioning and orchestration.
  • Experience operating in an agile / SAFe environment — partnering with RTEs and Scrum Masters and actively participating in PI planning and execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and storytelling skills — able to translate technical concepts into business value and ROI.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire technical and product teams within a matrixed organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, or another regulated, data‑sensitive industry.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI practices and data‑protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Product management credentials a plus.
  • Experience managing vendors and optimizing API and tool integrations across a marketing technology ecosystem.
EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field — computer science, data science, marketing, business, engineering, or related; an advanced degree is a plus.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • A builder and an operator — turns emerging AI capability into working products and reliable platform operations.
  • A value translator — connects tools and models to adoption, business outcomes, and ROI.
  • An enabler — makes everyone around them better at using MarTech and AI.
  • A disciplined delivery leader — thrives on agile cadence and gets PI commitments shipped.
  • A responsible innovator — pushes the frontier while keeping AI transparent, compliant, and trustworthy.
  • A communicator — makes the complex clear for any audience.
How Success Is Measured
  • Adoption and active usage of MarTech platforms and AI tools across marketing.
  • Value realization — measurable business impact and ROI from MarTech and AI investments.
  • Speed and reliability of AI product delivery from concept to production.
  • Consistency of PI planning execution and on‑cadence delivery.
  • Health, capability, and engagement of the team.
