Job summary

Nscale in San Francisco is seeking a Director of Logical Deployment to own the end-to-end bring-up of GPU clusters, from asset data and network bootstrap to validation and handoff to operations. You will lead a team of engineering program managers, ensure schedules, manage dependencies, and partner with networking and software teams to deliver repeatable deployments.

In this role you’ll define the deployment playbook, drive automation, and report status to executives.

Qualifications

12+ years in hyperscale infrastructure or large-scale HPC delivery.
5+ years leading teams.
Direct experience delivering large GPU or HPC clusters.
Strong working knowledge of data center networking, including front-end and back-end fabrics, InfiniBand or RoCE, and out-of-band and management networks.

Responsibilities

Own logical bring-up: schedule, asset data, and handoff.
Maintain asset and inventory data in NetBox as truth source.
Drive connectivity readiness and bootstrap connectivity for Nscale and customer environments.
Sequence service, control plane and fleet bring-up across teams.
Deliver the network fabric with front-end and back-end deployment teams.
Validate and hand off clusters with documentation, runbooks, and open issues.
Lead, hire and develop a team of engineering program managers and tooling leads.
