Job summary

Google Cloud AI Blackbelt team seeks a Director of AI for Science to lead a global team bridging frontier research with enterprise R&D. You will define the technical go-to-market and incubation strategy for our scientific AI portfolio, partnering with lighthouse accounts to co-engineer platforms for drug discovery, molecular simulation, and advanced modeling.

You will serve as a trusted scientific advisor to CSOs and R&D leaders, aligning internal research with customer pipelines and scaling

Qualifications

15 years of experience bridging software engineering/AI and a scientific domain.
7 years of experience managing and scaling specialized engineering teams.
Experience with modern ML and Generative AI applied to scientific data.

Responsibilities

Lead, scale, and mentor a specialized AI co-engineering team and define strategic roadmap.
Act as executive sponsor for major scientific and R&D accounts and integrate frontier models.
Translate feedback from external enterprises into actionable insights for commercialization.
Drive incubation and adoption of scientific bets to achieve ARR milestones.
Oversee production-ready reference architectures and best practices for life sciences.
