Job summary

Cornelis Networks is seeking a Director, Host Software to lead a world-class team building our host-side software stack. You will drive kernel driver development, user-space libraries, and performance-critical middleware for AI/HPC workloads.

Location is remote for US-residents; expect collaboration with global teams, CI/CD excellence, and an equity-focused compensation package that rewards impact and leadership in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in high-performance systems programming on Linux.
• Proven leadership or management experience in engineering.
• Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals and networking.
• Hands-on with RDMA and HPC/AI communication middleware.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for exec audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the host software stack for future products.
• Oversee kernel drivers, netdev, RDMA, and PCIe interfaces for low latency.
• Direct user-mode libraries and wire-protocol implementations (libfabric/OFI).
• Drive performance optimizations for AI/HPC frameworks and ecosystems.
