Job summary
Cornelis Networks is seeking a Software Engineer to design and optimize AI/HPC middleware across MPI/SHMEM and CCL stacks. You will work with engineers across transports, drivers, and applications to improve performance and scalability of AI and HPC workloads on Cornelis interconnects.
The role offers remote options for US residents, with a compensation package including equity and comprehensive benefits. You will contribute to features, testing, and upstream open-source work while growing
Qualifications
- 2+ years of systems programming on Linux
- Experience with HPC middleware (MPI/SHMEM) and/or AI collectives (NCCL/RCCL)
- Familiarity with performance profiling/tracing tools
- Foundational networking/RDMA understanding
Responsibilities
- Enable and optimize AI/HPC middleware features (MPI/SHMEM, NCCL/RCCL)
- Integrate middleware with transports and provider layers (libfabric/OFI, UCX)
- Submit upstream contributions to MPI/SHMEM projects and CCL ecosystems
- Collaborate with kernel/driver and switch teams for end-to-end performance
- Analyze performance traces and translate findings into fixes
