AbbVie is seeking a Director who will lead the Computational HitGen/LeadGen Team within a global drug discovery context. The role reports to the Head of Computational Drug Discovery and drives AI-native, modern computational methods across the small molecule portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in science leadership, a track record of strategic global coaching, and expertise in deploying computational workflows to predict binding and pharmacological properties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead development of cutting-edge methods and workflows for AbbVie's small molecule portfolio.
• Collaborate with small-molecule leadership to address gaps in computational predictions.
• Advance drug discovery expertise across CDD and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Provide leadership to enable program-level decision making across early-stage portfolios.
• Benchmark models and establish processes for best-suited approaches.
• Present program updates to leaders and external partners.
• Maintain publication presence and external scientific communications.
