Job summary

Northeastern University seeks a visionary Director to establish and scale the BS in Engineering Design at the Oakland campus. You will lead program launch, build industry partnerships, and integrate AI‑fluent, human‑centered engineering across four years.

The role requires pioneering classroom innovation, cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and a revenue‑driven approach within a self‑supporting model. Bay Area leadership and strategic outreach are essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in engineering or closely related field is required.
• Experience launching or reforming engineering education programs with experiential/AI-enabled learning.
• Minimum 5 years in academic program leadership or industry partnership management.
• Co-op/experiential learning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and program development for the BS in Engineering Design.
• Build and manage industry partnerships across sponsors, curriculum partners, and integrated partners.
• Oversee co-op placements and experiential learning to ensure quality and outcomes.
• Direct program operations, enrollment, and delivery while maintaining academic standards.
• Drive financial management to sustain a self‑funded model and grow revenue.
