Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Director of eDiscovery and Records Management in Bethesda/NYC to lead and scale our eDiscovery and records program. You will own end-to-end eDiscovery operations, set an AI/automation strategy, and manage cross-functional partnerships across IT, Legal, and Privacy.

The role requires 10+ years in eDiscovery or related fields, strong leadership, and experience managing vendors and budgets within a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in eDiscovery, legal operations, or legal technology, including experience leading and developing teams and managing a function or program.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of eDiscovery and records professionals; drive organizational design as the program scales.
• Own the defensibility and quality of end-to-end eDiscovery operations — legal holds, identification, preservation, collection, processing, ECA, review, and production.
• Set and execute the function's AI and automation strategy, including ROI measurement, in partnership with Legal Technology.
• Manage the legal-technology vendor relationships for cost, performance, and ROI.
• Partner with Legal Technology and cross-functional teams on the technology roadmap — document management strategy, legal hold service integration, and workflow automation.
• Advise attorneys and senior leadership on complex eDiscovery questions, discovery strategy, and evolving legal/regulatory obligations.
