Job summary

Artefact, a next-generation data and AI consulting firm, seeks a Director of AI & Data Consulting to lead our US practice in New York. You will win engagements with C-level executives, assemble multidisciplinary teams, and ship working prototypes using Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and other tools.

You will shape AI strategies, drive adoption programs, and mentor consultants while expanding the client portfolio across industries such as CPG, retail, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact and trusted advisor for client executives on data and AI transformation.
• Win engagements: develop the client portfolio, grow the US commercial pipeline, and present proposals.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of consultants, data scientists, AI engineers, and analysts, and coordinate global offices.
• Ensure delivery meets Artefact's quality bar with measurable impact, not just recommendations.
• Shape AI and data strategies, operating models, roadmaps, and adoption programs.
• Guide clients from GenAI pilots to production-grade, governed AI adoption and AI-native ways of working.
• Maintain current knowledge of data, marketing, and technology ecosystems in AI context.
• Bring or build vertical expertise across CPG, retail, financial services, healthcare, telecom.
• Use AI tools daily in your work and set the standard for an AI-native consultant.
• Prototype with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex) to make ideas tangible.
