Alcon is seeking a Director of Data Science to lead teams delivering scalable AI, ML, optimization, and analytics solutions across the organization. The role partners with business and technology leaders to enable data-driven decisions and measurable enterprise impact.

The ideal candidate will guide the data science roadmap, foster a high-performing team, and ensure governance, explainability, and value realization across global initiatives in supply chain and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with extensive experience in data science.
• Proven leadership of analytics or data science teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the data science roadmap aligned with ITCI and enterprise priorities.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing data science organization.
• Establish best practices for data science, ML, optimization, and AI development.
• Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify high-value opportunities.
• Lead design, development, deployment, and monitoring of advanced analytics solutions.
