Job summary

Shutterstock is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, customer experience, and development of the AI Data Platform within Shutterstock’s Data Licensing & AI Services team. This platform will make Shutterstock’s multimodal data easy for AI developers and enterprises to discover, evaluate, and access for model training and inference.

As we scale our AI data business, this role owns the platform experience and partners with engineering, design, AI/ML, and commercial teams

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience leading and scaling complex products across data, developer, enterprise software, or AI.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate product discovery and design, and to work with UX to refine requirements and visualize interactions.
• Zero-to-One experience taking major products from ambiguity to launch and adoption.
• Product judgment with bias for action and ability to make tradeoffs with incomplete information.
• Strong customer instincts translating workflows into intuitive, scalable product experiences.
• Technical fluency in APIs, data pipelines, cloud platforms, and AI/ML systems.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms, data platforms, or large-scale content platforms is preferred.
• Executive leadership with strong communication to align technical, product, commercial, and exec stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI Data Platform strategy and roadmap, balancing near-term opportunities with long-term scalability.
• Define intuitive end-to-end experiences for AI developers, researchers, data teams, and enterprises to discover, understand, evaluate, access, and integrate data.
• Translate customer needs into platform requirements and clear tradeoffs with engineering and design teams.
• Build and lead a high-performing platform product team and evolve capabilities to scale the platform and business.
• Partner with data products, engineering, design, and commercial teams to ensure speed, quality, and alignment across initiatives.
