Penguin Solutions seeks a Director, Commercial Legal to serve as the day‑to‑day owner of the company’s commercial legal function for large, complex transactions, with autonomy to shape strategy and priorities.

This hybrid role is central to a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure business, working with sales, operations, and product teams to structure, negotiate, and execute agreements that support growth and customer expansion.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• 12+ years of relevant legal experience with substantial commercial contracting expertise.
• Experience supporting technology, hardware, infrastructure, or supply chain‑driven businesses.

Responsibilities

• Own large, complex commercial transactions end‑to‑end, from structuring through negotiation and execution.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of enterprise customer, vendor, and procurement agreements.
• Advise on delivery, acceptance, performance standards, warranties, and liability in complex environments.
• Partner with operations, supply chain and product teams to align contracts with deployment and scaling needs.
