Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale is seeking an Engineering Director to lead the Product Engineering group within the AI Engineering organisation. You will report to the VP of Autonomy and oversee 50+ engineers across Driving, ADAS, Parking and HMI functions.

You will set technical direction, drive data-driven products, and partner with senior leadership to deliver production-grade autonomous driving capabilities aligned with Wayve's objectives.

Qualifications

• Delivered autonomy products that rely on complex AI models.
• Experience leading complex teams with multiple management layers.
• Roadmap articulation and product delivery experience.
• Experience with autopilot/navigation, active safety, parking domains.
• Strong engineering practices and code quality focus.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical vision, strategy and metrics for your area across Wayve.
• Frame autonomous driving as a data-driven problem and design efficient data curricula.
• Drive an eval-driven culture to reach KPI targets with efficiency.
• Partner with senior leadership to maintain impact, performance and health.
• Build technical capabilities and develop engineers; ensure resilient systems and teams.
• Develop career plans and growth trajectories for team members.
