Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Defense, Adversary Emulation Director in the United States.

You will oversee vulnerability management, threat intelligence, hunting, and red team activities to continuously strengthen defenses across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. The role combines hands-on offensive security with strategic leadership, partnering with security engineering, incident response, and technology teams to translate threat insight into measurable

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information security with deep expertise in vulnerability management, threat intelligence, threat hunting, red team, or offensive security.
• Proven experience leading red team/adversary emulation engagements and translating findings into remediation.
• Hands-on experience running vulnerability management across infrastructure, applications, and cloud for a global organization.
• Strong threat intelligence process, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, and proactive threat hunting across endpoints, networks, and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature enterprise vulnerability management with risk-based prioritization and remediation tracking.
• Direct threat intelligence operations, analyzing threat actors, TTPs, and vulnerabilities to inform priorities.
• Plan and lead threat hunting campaigns across endpoint, network, and cloud environments.
• Design and lead red team and adversary emulation exercises to test detection and response.
• Translate findings into prioritized remediation guidance for engineering and stakeholders.
• Partner with Security Operations and infrastructure teams to close weaknesses and improve posture.
• Establish metrics and governance to measure risk reduction and program effectiveness.
• Develop and mentor a team of analysts across vulnerability management, threat intelligence, hunting, and red team.
• Leverage automation and AI tooling to scale triage, analysis, and hunting while ensuring auditability.
