Edwards Lifesciences in Irvine, CA, seeks a Director of Data Science & Forecasting to lead forecasting strategy and the Advanced Forecasting Center of Excellence. This role partners with FP&A and IT to deploy AI/ML-based models, improve planning accuracy, and enable data-driven decisions across Finance.

The ideal candidate combines 10+ years in data science or analytics with strong cross-functional leadership and a track record of implementing enterprise planning solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, CS, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Biostatistics, or related field.
• Master's or PhD preferred for highly advanced modeling and predictive analytics environments.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, forecasting, analytics, or finance analytics.
• Experience developing and operationalizing forecasting models to drive decisions.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Finance, FP&A, Data & Analytics, IT.
• Experience building analytics governance or centers of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Establish forecasting strategy and analytics roadmap across Corporate Finance.
• Lead the Advanced Forecasting Center of Excellence with governance and standards.
• Oversee design, deployment and improvement of forecasting models and scenario planning.
• Partner with FP&A and stakeholders to embed insights into planning and resource allocation.
• Communicate complex analytics clearly to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with Data, Digital and IT teams to improve data quality and scalable analytics.
• Drive adoption of AI capabilities and forecasting methodologies.
