Job summary

Diocese of Allentown is seeking a Director for the Adult IDD Program at the John Paul II Center for Special Learning in Shillington. The role provides strategic direction, operational leadership, and program development for adult IDD services, ensuring quality, compliance, and growth.

The director will oversee budgeting, staffing, and regulatory adherence while expanding therapy services, community partnerships, and employment supports in alignment with ISP goals and HCBS requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education, human services, social work, psychology, business or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years of senior leadership experience in human services, preferably in IDD, developmental disabilities or adult services.
• Strong knowledge of IDD services, community integration, ODP waiver programs, and regulatory/licensing frameworks.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, and confidentiality requirements.
• Experience managing budgets, fiscal stewardship, strategic planning, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi-year strategic plan aligned with state priorities and CMS HCBS requirements.
• Oversee operational aspects of the adult IDD program including day services, employment supports, and community integration.
• Provide fiscal oversight and ensure Medicaid billing standards compliance.
• Lead staff recruitment, development and performance management.
• Foster community partnerships and collaboration with state and local agencies.
