Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. seeks a Director Actuary to lead actuarial support for the P&C Programs Insurance Business Unit and to collaborate with business units to deliver insights and pricing strategies.

The role focuses on profitability reviews, monitoring rate changes, and actuarial studies to improve pricing parameters and segmentation. You will lead a team, build pricing tools, and partner with analytics to underwrite more profitably.

Qualifications

• ACAS or FCAS or similarly qualified professional.
• 6+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Strong business acumen in underwriting, products, reinsurance, claims and financials.
• Proficient programming skills for pricing tools and analytics.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial support to P&C Programs Insurance Business Unit.
• Lead a team of actuaries to deliver insights and strategies.
• Review profitability and pricing analyses for portfolio segments.
• Provide actuarial pricing recommendations on large accounts.
• Design, program, and maintain pricing and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with Strategic Analytics to deploy advanced analytics.
