Job summary

Thyme Care seeks a Director, Actuarial Services to lead end-to-end actuarial models and financial frameworks supporting value-based partnerships. You will own reserving, forecasting, and contract reconciliations while collaborating with cross-functional teams and the C-suite.

You will guide performance estimates, quantify risks, and help shape revenue recognition decisions within a fast-paced health tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Math or other quantitative discipline.
• ASA or Fellowship from the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA).
• 8+ years actuarial experience in health care or medical economics.
• 2+ years mentoring junior staff.
• Understanding of Medicare Advantage data (claims, MAO-04, etc.).
• Experience using SQL or other coding language to pull/transform data from large health care claims databases.
• Proficiency in writing clean, efficient code and strong data management practices.
• Experience working across organizations with data teams and downstream consumers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and reporting for Thyme Care partner's total cost of care savings performance estimates with data accuracy and consistency.
• Lead annual financial reconciliations for value-based contracts, coordinating data resources and interfacing with actuarial counterparts.
• Provide guidance on the fidelity of performance estimates and advise on revenue recognition tied to projected shared savings.
• Identify areas of potential underperformance and partner with health economics and clinical teams to find root causes.
• Execute actuarial analyses and develop models to quantify trade-offs between contract features in value-based arrangements.
• Support development and maintenance of financial models mapping clinical and operational activities to financial outcomes.
