What You’ll Do : Accounting Director

Role Overview : We seek a seasoned Director of Accounting to lead accounting operations for our Olympics activities, including our Italian and US entities. This strategic role will ensure compliance with local GAAP and US GAAP, drive process standardization, and support growth and governance across markets. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead all accounting operations outside and inside the U.S., including general ledger, close processes, statutory reporting, tax coordination, and compliance for US and international entities.
• Partner with global finance teams to ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and lead the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Develop and maintain global accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and alignment with US GAAP and local standards.
• Drive harmonization and standardization of accounting processes across regions.
• Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a multinational corporation with Big4 background.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools; proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills across all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with adaptability.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SOX implementation and financial systems transformation.
