Job summary

Children's Promise Center seeks an experienced Early Childhood Center Director to lead daily operations and team development in a safe, Christ-centered setting. You will balance staffing, programming, and family engagement while upholding licensing standards.

The ideal candidate will have an AA in Early Childhood Education and prior director experience, with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
• Proven experience as a Childcare Center Director or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

At Children's Promise Center, we're seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Center Director to lead our center and team while supporting our mission of providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment for children and families.

This is an opportunity for a strong, people-focused leader who can balance staff leadership, family relationships, center operations, and quality early childhood programming while bringing a heart for ministry to their work.

You must be able to:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the center and ensure a safe, nurturing, faith-centered environment.
• Hire, train, coach, and support teachers and staff while building a positive team culture.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and applicable accreditation standards.
• Support high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families and respond professionally to questions and concerns.
• Partner with staff and leadership to maintain a cohesive, welcoming center community.
• Oversee enrollment, staffing, budgets, scheduling, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Monitor center quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Stay current on early childhood best practices, regulations, and trends.
• Serve as a positive role model for staff, children, and families.

Required Credentials:

• Associate’s degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Childcare Center Director.
• Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Credentials:

• Experience working with New Mexico childcare licensing regulations.
• Additional early childhood education or leadership credentials.
