Job summary

GetHired, Inc. is seeking a Directional Drilling Operator/Locator to work from our North Charleston, SC office. Prior experience with underground utilities installation/maintenance is preferred.

A valid driver's license is required, CDL is a plus, and this is not a travel position. The role includes operating and maintaining drilling equipment, locating buried utilities, flagging, and site restoration in the Charleston area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in directional drilling/locating.
• Must be able to complete daily bore logs written and electronically.
• Must have can-do attitude and willingness to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to perform standard maintenance on drill and support equipment.
• Drives and/or operates diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from jobsite (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Bucket Truck).

Responsibilities

• Operate drilling equipment on assignment at Charleston, SC area.
• Locate buried wiring/cabling and install underground telecommunications cabling.
• Flagging and directing safe coordination of vehicles and equipment on worksites.
• Perform worksite restoration and general construction tasks under supervision.
• Follow directions and maintain safe working habits per regulations.

*NOT A TRAVELING POSITION, WORK IS IN CHARLESTON,SC*

Down Under Directional boring provides a complete variety of construction and engineering services to the wireless and wireline industry. We are seeking Directional Drilling Operator/Locator to work out of our North Charleston, SC office. Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities preferred. A valid driver’s license is a must, CDL a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Minimum 2 year’s experience of Directional drilling/locating.
• Must be able to complete daily bore logs written and electronically.
• Must have can do attitude and willingness to complete task in a reasonable amount of time.
• Must be able to perform standard maintenance issues on drill and support equipment.
• Drives and/or operates diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsite (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Bucket Truck)
• Locate other buried wiring/cabling Install underground telecommunications cabling.
• Flagging (directing safe coordination of vehicles and equipment within public areas where worksites are active)
• Worksite restoration.
• Performs general construction work (to include physical labor i.e., using hand tools, lifting materials on average up to 50 lbs., etc.) under direction of Foreman or Supervisor
• Performs other duties as necessary.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies.
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.
