Job summary

RigUp is seeking an experienced Directional Driller to join our drilling operations team in Colorado. The role focuses on planning and executing directional drilling programs to achieve precise wellbore placement while upholding safety and efficiency standards.

The candidate will operate Orbit RSS technology, interpret real-time data, and collaborate with engineers, rig crews, and field personnel to ensure successful well delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Directional Driller.
  • Hands-on experience operating Orbit RSS - Required.
  • Strong understanding of directional drilling and wellbore surveying.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute directional drilling operations using Orbit RSS technology.
  • Monitor and adjust drilling parameters to maintain planned wellbore trajectory.
  • Interpret real-time drilling data and make operational decisions to optimize well placement.
  • Operate and troubleshoot Orbit Rotary Steerable System equipment.
  • Collaborate with drilling engineers, rig crews, and operations teams to ensure successful well delivery.
  • Prepare and review well plans, including directional drilling programs and survey plans.
  • Monitor downhole conditions and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure all drilling activities comply with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate drilling records and daily reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to rig personnel.
  • Participate in pre-well planning meetings and post-well reviews.
  • Communicate wellbore trajectory status and any deviations to stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Directional Driller to join our drilling operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating Orbit Rotary Steerable System (RSS) technology and a strong background in directional drilling operations. This role is responsible for planning and executing directional drilling programs to achieve precise wellbore placement while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute directional drilling operations using Orbit RSS technology
  • Monitor and adjust drilling parameters to maintain planned wellbore trajectory
  • Interpret real‑time drilling data and make operational decisions to optimize well placement
