Job summary

Danella Companies, Inc. is seeking experienced Drill Operator/ Locator to support operations across Delaware and Maryland. The role requires familiarity with directional bore machines, locating equipment, and a strong safety mindset.

Successful candidates will undergo DOT physicals, drug/alcohol screening, and background checks, with compensation based on experience. Responsibilities include pre-trip checks, safe equipment operation, JHA participation, and installation of underground utilities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating directional bore machines or locating equipment.
• DOT physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check required.
• Must be able to lift at least 90 lbs.
• Knowledge of mud-mixing in different soil conditions.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip equipment and perform required fluid checks and greasing.
• Safely operate equipment.
• Participate in pre-job JHA daily.
• Report unsafe conditions to foreman.
• Operate tools as directed by foreman.
• Place underground utilities as directed.
• Maintain safety at all times.
• Operate/directed machines: backhoes, excavators, directional boring machine, jackhammers, chop saws, tampers, rollers, vibratory plates, water pump, air ventilator, gas monitors, and basic hand tools.
