Job description
OVERVIEW
Danella, a national utility contractor, is adding Drill Operator/ Locator to its operations. We are seeking experienced Drill operators/ locators, compensation based on experience.
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance after 90 days.
Company vehicle for applicants over 21 years old.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-trip equipment prior to operation of equipment (Check and maintain fluids in equipment as directed, grease vehicle as directed, load material on equipment and secure as directed, etc.)
Safely operate equipment
Participate in pre-job JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) daily
Report any unsafe conditions to your foreman
Operate tools as directed by foreman
Place underground utilities as directed (This would include, but not be limited to carrying pipe, bags of bentonite and/or other heavy items, jack hammering, shoveling, tamping, installing pipe, duct and/or cable)
At all times work in a safe manner
Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids to be operated/directed: backhoes, excavators, directional bore machine, jack hammer, chop saws, tampers, rollers, vibratory plates, water pump, air ventilator, gas monitors, basic hand tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced in the operation of directional bore machine and or the use of the locating equipment.
Knowledge of mud-mixing in different soil conditions.
All successful candidates will have passed both a DOT physical examination and drug/alcohol screen – along with a background check. Must be able to lift at least 90 lbs.
