Duties, Responsibilities & Other

This position is for a directional drill foreman with a minimum of 6 years of underground experience operating a directional drill with at least 2 years of experience managing a 4-person crew.

  • Work with construction manager for in-field project set up.
  • Lead and direct 4-person crew to safely complete projects.
  • Complete legible bore logs and field sketches.
  • Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions.
  • Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized.
  • Administer monthly safety meetings.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Understand as-built drawings and roadway plans
  • Possess leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience placing underground cable a plus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
