We are currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for all new, full-time employees ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months).

Overview

Tjader & Highstrom Utility Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Directional Boring Operator for projects in Wisconsin. Responsibilities include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction, as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • All phases of underground construction: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of materials and equipment
  • Hand digging using shovel and mechanical tools
  • Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling
  • Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery
  • Work in congested or remote areas
  • Maintain safety and coordinate movements with crew members
  • Perform general construction work, flagging, and site restoration
Qualifications
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Basic knowledge of utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Effective communication skills
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Ability to work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with possible overtime
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers, reach
  • Work while wearing safety gear
  • Work in adverse weather conditions
  • Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly
