Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Cookeville, TN is hiring Part-Time and PRN Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Starting pay is $15.68 per hour. No experience required – we provide PAID training!

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations.
• Employment contingent upon successful background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Assist with learning and development of independent and community-based skills.
• Participate in community, social, and recreational activities with individuals.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and community activities.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely.
• Build a support network by developing relationships with community members, businesses, and families.
• Other tasks may be assigned.
• Cooperate with license and department staff during inspections or inquiries.
