Job summary

Rockwell Care Services in Idaho seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and throughout the community. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, and community participation according to individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Reliable, insured vehicle required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated.
• Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and errands.
• Support participation in recreational, educational, and community activities.
• Assist individuals in developing daily living and independent living skills.
• Follow individualized support plans and program guidelines.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and family members, as appropriate.
• Follow established procedures during emergencies.
