Job summary

Petit's HALO, LLC seeks Direct Service Professionals to support adults with developmental disabilities in Stafford, VA. Responsibilities include ADL assistance, meal support, mobility help, and adherence to individual and behavior plans.

Shifts include early mornings; the role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with the care team. A valid license, background check, and ability to lift 50 lbs are required, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Two years direct care experience with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50lbs for resident assistance.
• English language proficiency.
• Proficiency with tablets/computers; Quickmar or similar software preferred.
• High school diploma; exceptions may be made for substantial experience.
• Successful completion of drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, toileting, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals based on individual needs and assist during meals.
• Maintain clean, organized bedrooms and shared spaces.
• Support residents’ daily movement appropriate to their abilities.
• Implement goals outlined in individual and behavioral plans.
• Provide transportation to approved activities and encourage community involvement.
• Ensure residents’ emotional and physical wellbeing.
• Maintain state-required documentation and follow Petit's HALO protocols.
• Manage residential inventory and report purchases to management.
