Job summary

ASG Home Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to empower individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities across New Jersey. The DSP role focuses on one‑on‑one support, helping clients with ISP goals and daily living activities in a compassionate, dependable manner.

Position offers flexible hours and local cases, with opportunities for growth within a DDD‑focused agency and supportive onboarding from a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized in‑home and community support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care and meal preparation
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support
