Job summary

Delta-T Group Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the Brockton area on a temporary basis. This role provides instruction on personal care, community living and socialization, while promoting person-centered goals.

Candidates need at least one year of relevant experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, a valid driver's license, and up-to-date First Aid/CPR certifications; a professional, energetic demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a health care setting.
• Must be self-motivated with a positive, energetic demeanor.
• Must possess First Aid/CPR and other required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and reinforce personal care/hygiene tasks, community living, communication and socialization skills.
• Implement person-centered activities and goals that create and maintain a supportive environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes and reports that meet state and federal requirements.
