Job summary

Meridian Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Golden Valley, MN, with a 9:00am–3:00pm schedule on weekdays and weekend shifts as needed. You will assist individuals toward personal goals, including meal prep, outings, daily chores, and medication administration in home settings.

We value English proficiency, reliability, and the ability to work with individuals with varying needs; a valid vehicle and DHS background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to support Adult Programs.
• Must be 21 years old or older to support Youth Programs.
• Have a vehicle for work with current car insurance.
• Have a Wi‑Fi-enabled device for work purposes.
• Successful clearance of a DHS Background Study.
• Proficient in spoken and written English language.

Responsibilities

• Work on tailored outcomes with each person in the home, including budgeting, behavioral management, community exploration, and life skills.
• Be an active participant with individuals served when working on outcomes and in the community.
• Assist with personal cares as needed per person served.
• Provide guidance and instructional teaching to build life skills.
• Provide cleaning, cooking and medication administration to individuals living at the home.
• Provide supervision and transportation in the community; a company vehicle may be available.
