Job summary

Meridian Services in Golden Valley, MN is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals work toward personal goals. You will assist with daily living tasks, meal prep, transportation, medication administration, and community outings, while maintaining safety and dignity.

The role requires ongoing engagement, patient communication, and providing personal care as needed. You may use a company vehicle or your own, and schedules vary across locations to fit staff and client needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for adult programs; 21+ for youth programs.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Have a vehicle with current car insurance.
• Have a valid driving record as per Meridian policy.
• Successful DHS Background Study clearance.
• Comfortable providing personal cares including medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Work on tailored outcomes with each person in the home.
• Be an active participant with individuals served in the community.
• Assist with personal cares as needed per person served.
• Provide guidance and instruction to build life skills.
• Provide cleaning, cooking and medication administration.
• Supervise and transport to activities; company vehicle may be available.
