Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You will work one-on-one with individuals following each ISP to promote independence and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screening (required).
• CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Assist with daily living skills (meal preparation, hygiene, organization, routines).
• Support community integration, outings, and appointments.
• Encourage independence, socialization, and skill development.
• Provide supervision and ensure safety at all times.
• Document services accurately and timely in HHAeXchange (EVV).
• Communicate effectively with families and office staff.
