Job summary

Bridge of Promise seeks a Direct Support Staff to work with adults with developmental disabilities in Bellevue, WA. You will assist with recreational, educational, and community activities, and provide individualized support to participants throughout the day.

Responsibilities include daily living support, mobility assistance, and safe transportation to activities. The role requires CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain, and a commitment to professionalism and participant dignity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Successfully pass Washington State and Federal background checks.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain via employer training.
• Experience in caregiving or working with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support participants in daily living, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering as needed.
• Assist with transportation and accompany participants during community outings.
• Develop and lead at least one structured group activity each week under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe program environment throughout the day.
• Collaborate with staff and supervisors to deliver high-quality support.
