Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Redmond/Kirkland, WA is hiring a Direct Support Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities in daily living and community activities. The role requires compassion, reliability, and adherence to care plans.

You will work closely with participants, help with personal care, transportation, and documentation, and participate in ongoing training. Eligibility includes a valid driver's license and willingness to obtain required certifications as noted.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and reliable vehicle for transporting clients.
• Experience with individuals with challenging behaviors preferred.
• Willingness to become Nurse Assistant Registered (NAR) and complete Nurse Delegation training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to program participants that meets their needs and enables community integration.
• Creates a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment.
• Familiar with Residential Service Guidelines issued by the DDA.
• Delivers instruction and support per each participant’s IISP.
• Assists with daily living activities, health monitoring, and medication supervision.
• Facilitates community outings and transportation arrangements as needed.
• Treats participants with dignity and supports their decision-making rights.
• Attends required staff meetings and training.
• Contributes to development and implementation of each participant’s IISP.
