Qualifications

• Background in Human Services or related fields committed to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build trusting relationships.
• Knowledge of Intellectual Disabilities and willingness to learn best practices for person-centered support.
• Ability to provide training and coaching in daily living, social and employment skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in human services preferred.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication; follow written plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to adults with disabilities in on-site Vernon Rockville, CT.
• Assist with daily living activities, employment tasks, community integration and skill-building.
• Implement individual support plans and model appropriate workplace and social behaviors.
• Document progress, collaborate with families and team members, advocate for individuals' rights.
