Job summary

YAI in New York is looking for empathetic support staff to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Responsibilities include providing personal care, implementing behavior support plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of those supported. Candidates must have effective communication skills, be able to manage crisis situations, and complete necessary training.

This role offers both full-time and part-time positions with varying schedules. Compensation ranges from $16.78 to $18.31 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting and moving individuals.
• Basic computer skills for task completion.
• Successful completion of SCIP-R training within one year.

• Assist individuals in maximizing strengths and building relationships.
• Provide supervision, protection, and care of individuals at all times.
