Job summary

Lynn & Darla, LLC in Solano/Napa Counties seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide in-home support to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, facilitating daily living tasks and active community participation. You’ll implement IIP plans, advocate for rights, coordinate with teams, and ensure safety and well-being.

Qualified applicants may have 1 year of DS experience, CPR/First Aid, driver’s license, and willingness to complete paid trainings.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1-year direct care experience with people with developmental, physical or psychiatric disabilities or transferable skills.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must have and maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification and present upon hire.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention - Paid training
• Person Centered Training - Paid Training

Responsibilities

• Assure individuals receive assistance in daily living and supports to live a full life of their choice.
• Implement and follow through on the Individual Program Plan (IIP) for people served.
• Provide guidance and support regarding personal issues and life choices; advocate for individuals.
• Act as liaison to the individual’s team and attend IPP meetings and weekly team meetings.
• Ensure data collection and daily documentation are completed; monitor nutrition and transportation needs.
• Assist with budgeting and finances; help maintain home exterior and interior; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Communicate politely with day program services and assist with meal preparation as desired.
