Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in our North Shore homes, providing quality living supports and assisting individuals in residential settings and communities. You will teach, support, and facilitate choices for people in their homes and communities.

Shifts include evenings and weekends with pay rates of $23.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications (FA/CPR and MAP). Join us to help people live inclusive, independent lives.

Qualifications

• CPR/FA/MAP certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals.
• Document accurately in logs, health records, daily data books, and related documentation as outlined in policy.
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences to support skill development and independence.
• Provide hands-on home support including transfers, bathing, grooming, and adherence to dining protocols and treatments.
• Administer medications according to MAPs and coordinate with Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits, and on-call nursing as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions and safety plans and upholding staffing ratios.
