Job summary

DABS, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities receiving Supported Living Services. You will supervise in home and community settings, assist with ADLs, and help maintain a stable living environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of direct DD support experience, familiarity with IPP/ISP/BSPs, and CPI/Safety Care training. The role offers a schedule with full-time and part-time options and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of direct support experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Experience with IPP/ISP and BSPs.
• Training in Safety Care or crisis intervention (CPI or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and document observations accurately.
• Ability to obtain TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered supervision in home and community.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, meals, and personal care.
• Support medication administration as needed.
• Accompany or transport to medical appointments.
• Implement BSP to prevent de-escalation of outbursts or mental health symptoms.
• Apply crisis prevention techniques to ensure safety.
• Observe and report changes in health or environment to supervisor.
• Complete daily logs and progress notes per DDS/Regional Center standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings as needed.
