Job summary

ResCare Community Living, a part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Saint Paul, MN. The position is non-exempt and hourly, with a pay rate of $23 per hour, and may be full-time or part-time depending on need.

You will provide direct support within a program to 1–3 individuals in residential settings, following individual service plans. You will assist with daily activities, health maintenance, medication administration, socialization, and community integration,

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in human services preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: provide support per service plans, including socialization and development.
• Records: document progress and maintain confidentiality.
• Management of Individuals’ Assets: manage purchases within the budget.
• Relationships: maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, guardians and case managers.
• Reporting: report abuse or neglect and medical/behavioral incidents per policy.
• Rights: protect confidentiality and rights based on the bill of rights.
• Appointments: accompany to medical appointments and relay information.
• Medications: administer or support self-administration and document delivery.
• General Health Care: monitor health and notify supervisor; call 911 if needed.
• Medical Supplies and Equipment: follow procedures and report malfunctions.
• Meal Preparation: assist with meals per plans.
